Company Culture & Core Values:
- DMR Technologies is a fast-growing American drone manufacturer based in Lafayette, LA — building advanced agricultural spray and commercial mapping drones (the X50 & D313) right here in the U.S.
- We’re pioneering processes, scaling fast, and looking for hands-on problem solvers to grow with us.
- Ground-floor opportunity at a funded drone startup;
- Clear path to growth: Shop Tech → Field Technician → advanced roles as we scale;
- Work on real, cutting-edge American-made technology;
- Air-conditioned shop (Louisiana summers — you’re welcome)
- Apply now — we’re moving fast. Prior drone assembly experience is NOT required. If you can build it, fix it, and figure it out — we want to talk.
Requirements:
- No drone experience required. Mechanical aptitude is everything.
- Assemble, service, test, and repair professional drones in our air-conditioned shop — and eventually in the field.
- Precision assembly (closer to iPhone repair than shipbuilding)
- Use small screwdrivers, allen wrenches, carbon fiber tubing, motors, nozzles, and basic wiring.
A Strong Fit Will Have:
- Any hands-on mechanical or electrical background (HVAC, auto, electronics, military, construction — anything counts)
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently
- Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and comfort figuring things out
- Reliable, detail-oriented, team-first attitude
Bonus Points:
- Drone or RC aircraft experience / FAA Part 107 license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Willingness to travel 15–30%
- Basic computer skills / comfort with digital tools
- These positions start at 30 hours and move to full-time 40 hours within 30 days.
Training Provided:
- Assemble drone components following work instructions, diagrams, and video guides
- Install mechanical systems: hoses, nozzles, CF tubing, motors, lightweight structures (~70%)
- Run basic wiring and electrical connections per print (~30%)
- Perform routine service, inspections (15-point), nozzle replacements, and consumables
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical issues — shop & field
- Potentially fly, diagnose, and test drones as skills develop
