Schedule
Looking for part time hygienist ideally for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday each week.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral conditions.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) – Practiceworks
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing documentation review processes.
- Support infection control standards through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver seamless general dentistry services tailored to pediatric dentistry when needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs during appointments and recognize signs that require immediate attention or referral.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within a pediatric or general dentistry environment.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health.
- Familiarity with EMR systems – we use Practiceworks
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively across all age groups, including pediatrics.

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
