Pay Range:

• $28.00 – $35.00

Requirements:

• 2 – 4 Years experience working on electrical substation projects
• Blueprint reading
• Experience above and below grade grounding, conduit installation and equipment
• Substation steel erection
• Power & control cable installation and termination
• Material ordering and supply management
• Experience assisting with substation testing & commissioning process
• Safe use of related tools and equipment

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair substation transformers, circuit breakers, disconnects, bus work, and protective relays
• Test, troubleshoot and commission substation equipment.=
• Understand electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Operate bucket trucks, cranes, and digger derricks as needed
• Safely work with voltages up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NEC, NESC, and company safety policies
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on substation assets
• Clear documentation and communication skills
• Emergency storm response

Training Benefit:

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems
• CDL Class A or B license (preferred but not required)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and open trenches
• Must be able to climb poles, ladders, and work from aerial equipment
• Ability to stand, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
