Job Description
Pay Range:
- $28.00 – $35.00
- Overtime opportunities

Requirements:
- 2 – 4 Years experience working on electrical substation projects
- Blueprint reading
- Experience above and below grade grounding, conduit installation and equipment
- Substation steel erection
- Power & control cable installation and termination
- Material ordering and supply management
- Experience assisting with substation testing & commissioning process
- Safe use of related tools and equipment
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair substation transformers, circuit breakers, disconnects, bus work, and protective relays
- Test, troubleshoot and commission substation equipment.=
- Understand electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Operate bucket trucks, cranes, and digger derricks as needed
- Safely work with voltages up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NEC, NESC, and company safety policies
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on substation assets
- Clear documentation and communication skills
- Emergency storm response
Training Benefit:
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems
- CDL Class A or B license (preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and open trenches
- Must be able to climb poles, ladders, and work from aerial equipment
- Ability to stand, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
