Atlas Boards (“Atlas Boards,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates atlasboards.com and a network of printed community job boards across Louisiana. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Atlas Boards is built around direct connection between employers and job seekers. We do not require accounts, we do not sell personal information, and we do not act as an intermediary between applicants and employers.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to two groups:

  • Job seekers who browse listings on our website or on a physical Atlas Board.
  • Employers and hosts who submit job listings, request a board location, or otherwise contact us.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Job Seekers

You do not need an account to browse or search job listings. We do not collect resumes, applications, or employment histories.

When you apply to a job, you contact the employer directly using the contact method published in their listing. Any information you share at that point goes to the employer, not to Atlas Boards, and is governed by that employer’s own practices.

If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message.

2.2 Employers Submitting a Listing

When you submit a job listing, we collect:

  • Business information: employer name and, optionally, Secretary of State number
  • Listing content: job title, city, work location type, pay amount and unit, industry, work hours, required skills, training offered, job description, expiration date, and your preferred applicant contact method
  • Uploaded files: featured images, company logos, and video files you choose to upload
  • Contact information: a phone number so our team can complete and verify the listing (this number is not published in the job ad unless you designate it as your contact method)
  • Billing information: billing street address, city, state, and ZIP code
  • Payment information: credit card details, which are transmitted directly to our third-party payment processor. Atlas Boards does not store full card numbers on our systems.

2.3 Board Hosts and General Inquiries

If you request an Atlas Board for your location or contact us through the website, phone, or email, we collect your name, business or organization name, contact details, location information, and the contents of your message.

2.4 Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, ours collects limited technical information automatically:

  • IP address and general geographic region
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, search filters used, referring URLs, and timestamps
  • Cookie and similar identifiers

We use this to keep the site running, prevent abuse, and understand which listings and pages are useful. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our site is built on WordPress and uses cookies for essential functions such as maintaining your session, remembering search filters, and processing form submissions securely.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site traffic and understand which listings and pages people find useful. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives information about your visit, including your IP address, pages viewed, and general location, under Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We also use Google Search Console, which reports on how our pages appear in Google Search results. Search Console reports aggregate search data and does not set cookies on our site or identify individual visitors to us.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may prevent forms and search filters from working correctly.

Do Not Track: Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Review, edit, format, and publish job listings on our digital board and printed community boards
  • Verify that listings and employers are legitimate
  • Process payments for listing placements
  • Communicate with employers about their listings, renewals, and expirations
  • Coordinate the design, placement, and maintenance of physical board locations
  • Respond to questions sent through our contact form, email, or phone
  • Maintain the security and functionality of the website
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our submission guidelines

5. Information That Becomes Public

Approved job listings are published publicly. This is the purpose of the service. Listing content appears on atlasboards.com, where it is visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines, and it is printed and displayed on physical Atlas Boards in businesses and community spaces across our service area.

Once a listing has been printed and posted, we cannot retract copies already in circulation.

The following submission information is not published: your billing address, payment details, Secretary of State number, and the internal phone number provided for our team’s use, unless you have selected that phone number as your applicant contact method.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only in these situations:

Service providers. We use third-party vendors to operate the business, including website hosting, form processing, payment processing, email delivery, and printing services. These providers may access information only as needed to perform their function.

Our current providers include Stripe for payment processing and Google (Analytics 4 and Search Console) for website traffic measurement and search performance reporting. We also rely on providers for website hosting, email delivery, and the production of printed board materials.

Job seekers. Published listing content, including your chosen contact method, is shared publicly by design.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, or address a safety concern.

Business transfers. If Atlas Boards is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Payments

Payments for job listings are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are collected, stored, and handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI DSS standards and Stripe’s own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

Atlas Boards receives confirmation of payment and limited transaction details such as the last four digits of the card, card brand, and billing address. We never receive or store your complete card number, expiration date, or security code.

Stripe may also collect device and usage information for fraud prevention purposes under its own policy.

8. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Published listings: for the duration of the paid term (30 days per service period, up to 120 days maximum) and for a reasonable archival period afterward, which supports relisting.
  • Billing and transaction records: as required by tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations.
  • Contact and board request messages: for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the relationship.
  • Analytics and server log data: retained according to the standard settings of our analytics provider and web host.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to submission data. Every listing is reviewed by a person on our team rather than processed automatically.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you submit information at your own risk.

10. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and recordkeeping obligations and the limits described in Section 5 regarding already-printed listings
  • Opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly. We will still send transactional messages about active listings.

To make a request, email hello@atlasboards.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. Atlas Boards does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. Third-Party Sites and Employers

Our site links to third-party sites, including Facebook and Instagram, and listings direct you to employers through their own websites, email addresses, or phone numbers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those parties. When you contact an employer about a job, your information is handled under that employer’s policies, not ours.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services change. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on the site. Continued use of atlasboards.com after an update means you accept the revised policy.
