Requirements

• 3 years of related experience, training, and/or education in metal fabrication
• Skilled in at least 2 of 3 metals: stainless, aluminum, or steel (TIG and MIG)
• Able to read and understand blueprint drawings, specs, and written or spoken instructions
• Possess math skills and use a tape measure and caliper
• Basic computer skills
• Able to lift 50 lbs, pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Work overtime when needed

Responsibilities

• Weld parts to customer specs using TIG and MIG
• Grind, polish, and smooth finished pieces, checking by sight and feel for defects
• Read drawings and find the materials and parts needed for each job
• Set up and safely run shop equipment (welder, band saw, overhead crane, grinder, hand tools).
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment
• Track time and materials in project software, including deficiency logs
• Follow quality and safety rules, wear PPE and uniform, and keep your area clean.
• Help in other areas of the shop when needed.

Preferred Experience
